Common faults and analysis of screw air compressors (1)

1. Fault phenomenon: The exhaust temperature of the unit is high (over 100 °C)

• The unit coolant level is too low (You could visible from the oil sight glass, but not more than half);

• The oil cooler is dirty;

• The oil filter core is clogged;

• The temperature control valve is faulty (The component is broken);

• The oil cut solenoid valve is not energized or the coil is damaged;

• The oil cut solenoid valve diaphragm is broken or aged;

• Fan motor failure;

• The cooling fan is damaged;

• The exhaust duct is not smooth or the exhaust resistance is large;

• The ambient temperature exceeds the specified range (38 ° C or 46 ° C);

• Temperature sensor failure;

• Whether the pressure gauge is faulty (Relay control unit). 

2, Failure phenomenon: the unit has a large oil consumption or compressed air contains a large amount of oil

The cooling dose is too much, the correct position should be observed when the unit is loaded, and the oil level should be no more than half;

The oil return pipe is blocked;

The installation of the oil return pipe does not meet the requirements; (The distance from the bottom of the oil separation core)

The exhaust pressure is too low when the unit is running;

The oil separation core is broken;

The internal partition of the separation cylinder is damaged;

The unit has oil leakage;

The coolant has deteriorated or is overdue.

3, Failure phenomenon: Air compressor unit has low pressure.

The actual air consumption is greater than the unit output air volume;

The bleed valve is faulty (It cannot be closed when loading);

Intake valve failure;

Hydraulic cylinder failure;

Load solenoid valve (1SV) failure;

The minimum pressure valve is stuck;

The user pipe network has a leak;

The pressure setting is too low;

Pressure sensor failure;

Pressure gauge failure (Relay control unit);

Pressure switch failure (Relay control unit);

Pressure sensor or pressure gauge input hose leaks.
